***CLOSED UNTIL MARCH 2025*** Built in 1831 by Charles Symmes, founder of Aylmer, Symmes Inn is a classified historic monument and designated a National Historic Site of Canada. A symbol of pride for the people of the Outaouais region, it now houses the Symmes Inn Museum. Its permanent exhibition recounts the various functions attributed to the site over the centuries. Temporary exhibitions also highlight local and regional history.
