Archaeology Month
Archaeology Month
From August 1 to 31, 2026, Archéo-Québec invites the public to take part in Archaeology Month, an annual celebration of heritage held across the province. Since 2005, the event has helped bring archaeology into the public eye, offering engaging and accessible activities for everyone. This year’s theme, “Archaeology on the Road: A Journey Through Memories,” encourages participants to experience Québec in a new way by uncovering the stories and traces left behind over time. Archaeology Month features a wide range of activities, including guided tours, lectures, exhibitions, workshops, and hands-on excavations; a unique, immersive way to explore our shared past and see Québec through a different lens.
