With its spectacular scenery of lakes and mountains, Témiscouata is the perfect region for outdoor enthusiasts, especially in summer. With such a variety of things to do, you’re sure to find the activity that’s right for you and your family. Here are three suggestions of outdoor activities to do in this beautiful region.

Bike along the shores of Lake Témiscouata

Fall under the spell of the region’s bucolic nature with every pedal stroke as you explore the Parc national du Lac-Témiscouata by following the shore along a 24-kilometre cycling tour. Take the river shuttle and begin your journey at the L’Anse-à-William discovery centre. From there, you’ll pedal along the gravel road of the Grey Owl Trail before crossing the Touladi River bridge and riding to the ferry. Once you reach the other side of the river, continue onto the Petit-Témis bike path to return to your starting point. An amazing ride to share with family or friends!

Paddling sports, a beach and more at Camping Plage Pohénégamook

Anyone who loves playing in and around the water will find their fill at Camping Plage Pohénégamook, which offers a wide range of activities for all tastes. Relax on the sandy beach before going in the water for a dip, or rent a kayak, a paddleboard or a windsurf board to explore the waters of Lake Pohénégamook. You can also test your balance on the largest inflatable nautical structure in Quebec, and another, brand new, adapted for the little ones. In short, you have everything within reach for spending an unforgettable day!

Take a zipline down a mountain

Thrill-seekers can play Tarzan and zoom past the trees of Parc du Mont-Citadelle at over 100 km/h on a giant zipline, a one-of-a-kind attraction in North America. And why not combine your adventure with one of the many activities offered at this park? With the swimming pool, fishing pond and the Petit Témis bike path nearby, you’ll have plenty of options for outdoor fun.
