A dive into the world of witches, from the past to the present
Think beyond pointy hats and flying broomsticks! The exhibition Witches – Out of the Shadows, running until April 6, 2025, reveals the true story behind these multi-faceted mythical figures. Immerse yourself in their spellbinding world, and let the inspiring scenography take you on a journey through popular depictions, witchcraft practices and modern feminism. More than 400 objects from the USA and Europe will transport you through the centuries, shedding light on these fascinating, complex women who continue to leave their mark on the modern imagination, culture and society.
Welcome to the School of Sorcery!
Would you like to make your youngsters' Hogwarts dreams come true for a day? From March 1 to 7, 2025, the Museum's forecourt will be transformed into a school of sorcery as part of Spring Break on the Pointe. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., your apprentice magicians will take on four challenges to earn their witchcraft diploma: the witches' bestiary, the herbology workshop, magic potion making and wand manipulation. And don't miss the Harry Potter movie marathon: one film a day, non-stop, to delight young (and old) fans! There will also be story time and a board game zone. Look forward to fun and fantasy! Behind its pretty little streets and unique atmosphere, Saint-Henri hides a rich and full history. The Heart and Soul of Saint-Henri, presented until May 11, 2025, plunges you into the neighbourhood's past, from its first tanneries to the industrial boom and modern gentrification. Archival photos, testimonials from residents and period objects loaned by the community will take you on a journey through time to discover the social struggles and major changes that forged Saint-Henri's identity. A touching, human immersion you won’t want to miss!
