One-of-a-kind and close to its roots

A true tribute to Quebec’s forestry heritage, the Festival du Bûcheux de Saint-Pamphile features one of the province’s largest gatherings of loggers. Traditional logging competitions showcase the skills of the loggers of yesteryear through more than twenty spectacular events, including the godendard (two-person saw), axe throwing, chainsawing, pruning, a triathlon and precision felling. The younger generation is also invited to participate, thanks to competitions designed for kids ages 9 to 13.

Festivalgoers of all ages will also enjoy a host of activities on site, such as inflatable games, kids’ shows, a petting zoo, and axe-throwing workshops. And on Saturday evening, a fireworks display will light up this grand celebration of forestry culture!
