This summer, visit the only outdoor zoo on the Island of Montreal, located in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue. In an immersive natural environment, the Ecomuseum Zoo invites you to discover the animals that live on Quebec’s territory. Take part in a variety of educational activities. It’s a new way to go to the zoo and spend a memorable day.

A summer club for young explorers
During your visit to the Ecomuseum Zoo, register your young nature enthusiasts for different activities with the Junior Naturalists Club, taking place weekends from July 4 to August 23, 2026.
Kids ages 9 to 16 can participate in the rich, immersive activities to learn more about Quebec’s flora and fauna. Participants will be divided into two groups according to age. One runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for 9 to 12 year olds, and the other runs from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for 12 to 16 year olds.
It’s a great chance for youngsters to discover Quebec’s biodiversity—whether that’s mammals, birds, amphibians or insects, There are also themes like mushrooms and outdoor skills—all through an approach adapted to each age group.
Summer activities for all
Starting in June, get up close and personal with the animals at the zoo and participate in fun educational activities that will appeal to the whole family.
Learn more about the feeding, habitats and behaviours of different animals that live at the zoo. You'll even have the chance to get in on the action and prepare breakfast for certain animals. Participants then get to feed them from the observation platform.
Whether it's to discover Quebec's animals or to participate in unique activities, the Ecomuseum Zoo promises you and your family a memorable day.
Plan your visit to the zoo
Located on the Island of Montreal, the zoo is easily accessible by car on Highway 40, but also by public transport. What’s more, the new branch of the REM is just minutes from the Zoo!
To best enjoy your day, plan for about 1.5 to 2 hours to visit the site. Of course, the length of your visit may vary depending on how much time you spend at each habitat and according to which activities you take part in.
Rest assured, you will have plenty of time to see if you can spot all the animals. The zoo is open 7 days a week 9 to 5.
