Enjoy the county fair with family
From July 25 to August 3, 2024, attend the Expo agricole de Saint-Hyacinthe (website in French only) to discover entertaining and educational activities, all highlighting delicious flavours and great food. In addition, you’ll find tons of street food options, local delicacies, live entertainment, and more than 800 livestock, mainly farm animals. This must-attend summer event promises lasting memories and oodles of family fun!
New additions to tickle your taste buds
Foodies will be thrilled to hear that the agri-food section is expanding this year! For starters, Expo agricole de Saint-Hyacinthe will showcase three culinary themes throughout the ten-day event: Festigrill from July 25 to 28, Le maïs s’éclate from July 29 to 31, and La fête fromagère from August 1 to 3.
This year’s fair will also feature a barbecue competition, where chefs will battle it out using their culinary creativity. Restaurateurs will also participate in the event to promote the best Montérégie has to offer. And on July 26, don’t miss culinary tastings with renowned sausage maker Félipé St-Laurent, who will present his latest creation: the Expo Special Sausage, a dish that’s sure to please foodies!

At the Expo agricole de Saint-Hyacinthe, you’ll find activities for every taste. Get your thrills at the amusement park or visit the farm animals for a glimpse into the world of agriculture. You can even pet and feed some of them! Equestrian enthusiasts can attend the horse shows and rodeos, while farm machinery buffs can get their fill during the tractor pulls. For even more excitement, don’t miss the demolition derbies!
Music and dancing are also on the menu
Get ready to sing your heart out and get your groove on with renowned songwriters and special guests. In the Winslow tent, participate in country dance lessons to learn the basics or perfect your technique.
