Immersive audiovisual performances
This year, the indoor program takes a new step forward by performing at iconic Montreal venues, including the Maison symphonique, known for its exceptional acoustics.
At the Maison symphonique, the X/Visions series offers an ever-evolving soundscape that bridges contemporary instrumental composition and avant-garde electronic music. Several artists will showcase the venue’s majestic organ, including Montrealer Kara-Lis Coverdale, who will combine it with piano and strings, and Tristan Perich and James McVinnie, who will install an immersive setup consisting of 100 speakers on stage to enhance the experience.
At MTELUS, the Métropolis series presents an immersive stage production over two nights that will keep the party going until the early hours of the morning. In addition to Jeff Mills’s exclusive performance, discover the energy of CUERPOS from Saint John, the instrumental virtuosity of Quebec collective Patche, and the UK club scene’s leading figure, Ben UFO.
Free, festive outdoor shows!
MUTEK’s free outdoor stage, set up on the Esplanade Tranquille, has become a must-visit destination for the end of summer in Montreal. Every evening, starting at 5 p.m., the Expérience series transforms this central location into a space of discovery and exploration of various forms of electronic music. This is your last chance to enjoy an outdoor dance floor, open to everyone, in the heart of the city in a friendly and festive atmosphere.
Digital art installations for all
Alongside the festival, the Village Numérique (digital village) returns for its third edition, from August 20 to September 3, 2026. This free tour of digital art installations brings together some twenty interactive works meant to surprise or inspire, presented both indoors and outdoors. Free hands-on workshops also allow kids and adults alike to explore digital arts in a fun way.
The Village Numérique also features a professional program that brings together industry professionals and showcases Quebec artists and studios on the local and international scenes.
