Looking for the perfect way to spend spring break with your family? Head to the Museum of Ingenuity J. Armand Bombardier in Valcourt and learn about the history of Joseph-Armand Bombardier, a true national icon. With the museum’s unique vehicles, and interactive activities and games, including the flight simulator and life-size tramway, there’s something for everyone. Rain or shine, it’s the perfect outing for the whole family!
Are you up to the task?
This spring break, put your family’s ingenuity to the test with three new challenges at the museum. Get ready to unleash your intuition and creativity, and put your prototype-building skills to work! Build a shock-resistant tower, make a mechanism to throw a ball at different targets, and finally, redirect a laser at a target by crossing as many portals as you can. The key to your success? Your ingenuity! The museum will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., from March 2 to 11.

A versatile exhibit
Through a variety of media and installations, All About Passion, the museum’s permanent exhibit, showcases the life of famed Quebec inventor Joseph-Armand Bombardier, whose vehicles are known all over the world. Explore the object theatre in Bombardier’s very first garage, see a multimedia show by Moment Factory, learn about the technologies developed by Bombardier and BRP and the evolution of the Ski-Doo® snowmobile, design your own vehicle of the future at the Idea Studio, and star in a Ski-Doo® commercial produced through the magic of a photo booth. There’s no shortage of fun to be had!
A miniature train exhibit
End your day with a tour of A Railroad to Dreams, a captivating temporary exhibit by Pointe-à-Callière, Montréal Archaeology and History Complex. Until March 10, discover an entire world of model trains featuring games for kids, intricately detailed models, and fascinating archival photos and videos. Not to mention it’s all set against a soundtrack reminiscent of the hustle and bustle of a grand station!
