Known for its gourmet downtown venues, cultural heritage and green spaces – not to mention its can’t-miss poutine festival – Drummondville is an ideal place to visit with family or friends. Here are a few suggestions to make the most of your visit this summer!
Immerse yourself in Quebecois culture at the summer theatre
Summer theatre is a long-standing seasonal tradition in Quebec, and Drummondville is keeping up with it! Throughout summer, the Maison des arts Desjardins Drummondville will present a play called “Le père Noël est une ordure” (show and website in French only), directed by André Robitaille and starring a host of local stage actors, at its summer theatre. The audience will be treated to a new rendition of this classic piece of French comedy following the misadventures of a group of volunteers on a Christmas night when nothing goes quite right. Be quick to book your tickets, as last summer’s play, Le dîner de cons, sold out well before opening night.
