Magnificently located in Old Québec City, facing the St. Lawrence River, the Musée de la civilisation offers people of all ages an experience geared towards participation and discovery. This season, the museum offers three must-see exhibitions that promise rich discoveries: Our Time on Earth, which focuses on positive, tangible solutions to help the planet; Love me Gender, which explores the diverse realities of gender identities; and My Place, a fabulous house where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. A must on your cultural agenda!

Get a new perspective on challenges related to climate change

What can we do today, to change tomorrow? Presented until January 3, 2024, in partnership with the prestigious Barbican Centre in London, Our Time on Earth will introduce you to an alternative future and to concrete possibilities for positive action in the face of climate change. Through a dozen immersive contemporary artworks, the exhibition focuses on solutions and offers a glimpse into a better world. Several topics are addressed, including the protection of biodiversity, agriculture, food and energy. This exhibition will also give you the opportunity to take action, right in the room, and commit to concrete steps right then and there!

Discover a house like no other

Presented until May 15, 2027, the My Place exhibition will delight the whole family. From the kitchen to the living room, through the attic to the garden, every nook and cranny of this fabulous house has been designed for the little hands of children ages 3 to 8. In the company of the charming bird characters that live there, you'll discover each room, where secret passageways, gigantic pieces of furniture, photo booths, collectibles and works of art all come together. What's more, a surprise awaits you in the kitchen area, where a door leads to a secret hiding place! This exhibit is presented by Radio-Canada and Via Capitale.
