Beers brewed by À l'abri de la Tempête and its brewmakers pay homage to the raw beauty, harsh elements and distinctive character of our Archipelago set in the middle of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The main source of inspiration for each recipe comes from the riches provided by the Islands terroir and craftspeople. Developing smoked malt in collaboration with Fumoir d’Antan; revaluating the fruits of Gourmande de Nature; harvesting flowers, native aromatics, seaweed, spices and fresh herbs; all have inspired brewing products with an authenticity, uniqueness, and maritime flavour that one can truly taste.
