Located on Île aux Noix, in the middle of the Richelieu River, Fort Lennox National Historic Site played an important role in the defense of the country against invaders from the south. This British fortification with its eloquent shape offer a renewed visiting experience. In addition to activities with interpretative guides, the new exhibition entitled Passages, Experiences of this island present the human history of this unique place and uncover the secrets of the imposing building that represents the Fort Lennox barracks. Visitors can understand the daily life of the service families and the life of the women in garrison, and several artifacts tell the story of the soldiers who lived on the island.
