The Musée de la Vieille Fromagerie Perron is an exceptional historic building. A heritage building recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Communications, it is the last and only representative of Canada's artisanal cheese factories which occupied the territory at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. A visit to the old Perron cheese factory will allow you to better understand its history and the ancestral techniques of making cheddar cheese. You can also visit the cheesemaker's home which is located on the second floor of the museum and discover the family values ??of the time. To end your visit, you will be offered a tasting of Perron cheeses and you will be able to get your hands dirty by participating in an artisanal butter making workshop
