Village du Bûcheron

Mauricie
Museum

A fun and educational experience for the whole family! The Village du Bûcheron (Lumberjack Village) is the most complete interpretation center on forest history in Quebec. It features more than twenty buildings that tell the different aspects of the forest industry of the past: life in the forest, timber transportation, wood processing, and the mechanization of work. The museum's collection includes more than a thousand artifacts and antiques, including nearly a hundred chainsaws and a dozen vehicles; snowmobiles and skidoo. A great way to rediscover Quebec and travel through the country's history and lumberjack's legends! Guided tours are available only on reservation for groups of 15 adults or more.
