For two centuries, l’Île-des-Moulins has been instrumental in the development of one of the most important seigneuries in the history of Quebec. Today, five historical buildings bear witness to the economic vitality of the seigneury of Terrebonne and the achievements of its seigneurs and censitaires. L’Île-des-Moulins is also considered a museum institution that features several exhibitions throughout the year. Furthermore, l’Île-des-Moulins includes a green park that hosts several prestigious events, a lock for skating and pontoon boating, as well as historical outdoor activities.
