Vieux presbytère de Batiscan
Vieux presbytère de Batiscan
Step back in time to learn about the daily life of the former inhabitants of the Vieux presbytère de Batiscan. This architectural marvel, built in 1816, is a classified heritage site that has retained all of its original charm. The exhibition "Confessions d’un Vieux presbytère" takes you through three important periods in the evolution of daily life in Quebec, each associated with a resident of the building. Besides its religious significance, this old presbytery was once owned by the renowned engineer Albert Décary. Visitors can explore the 19th-century vegetable garden, take an outdoor tour, relax in a nature area, and shop for souvenirs. The summer season is punctuated with shows, and an outdoor pavilion is available for event rentals.
