Festival Québec en toutes lettres
Festival Québec en toutes lettres
Held every fall, Québec en toutes lettres shines a spotlight on the literary arts by offering a wide audience engaging and unexpected experiences. Over eleven days, this unique event invites festivalgoers into a world where literature comes alive — leaping off the page into parks, onto stages and into encounters that spark new connections between the public and artists from across disciplines. The 2025 edition will revolve around powerful literary figures and draw inspiration from a resonant line by poet Denise Desautels: “l’autre qui bat en nous” (which can loosely be translated to “the other who beats within us”), from her work titled “Disparaître” (Montréal, Éditions du Noroît, 2021). Founded in 2010, the festival has carved out a unique space in the city’s literary landscape, in addition to becoming a catalyst for creativity, a curator of bold voices in the public space, and a can’t-miss urban happening in Québec City, a UNESCO City of Literature.
