Even more fun for families

At the heart of the zoo, the Family Area transforms into a true summer playground as soon as the season begins. Families will find a modernized space there where they can take a pleasant break between their encounters with the zoo’s wildlife.

Children can cool off in new water play areas—a welcome feature on hot days—and explore an expanded and redesigned Petting Farm, where they can interact with the animals in a setting that is both safe and inviting.

New habitats for the Arctic foxes and Nordic birds

The understated charm and often surprising behaviours of these delightful animals is impossible to resist!

Located in the Arctic Tundra area, right at the start of the walking trail, the new Arctic fox habitat has been designed to better meet the animals’ behavioral and seasonal needs. Parents and kids can learn how this new habitat, with shaded areas, a variety of types of terrain and spaces that encourage exploration, mirrors their natural environment.

Another must-see stop in the same area: a new aviary will house snowy owls in a spacious area that makes them easy to observe.

An improved website for easier planning

Offering a truly immersive experience, the zoo’s new website will highlight can’t-miss features for families, the site’s main attractions and essential information for planning a visit.

With just a few clicks, it will be easier to plan your visit, pick out your kids will like most and quickly find useful information to organize your day (opening hours, directions, practical tips). The goal is simple: minimize planning so there’s more room for adventure.

Also good to know: the site’s accessibility has been improved for people with reduced mobility and seniors, and to provide more space for strollers and carts, ensuring a better experience for the whole family and all fans of northern wildlife!
