Known for its rich land and lush panoramas, Saint-Hyacinthe and the surrounding area give you a chance to meet passionate producers and savour delicious locally grown products. Enjoy trying your hand at harvesting in rural settings, explore a hundred-year-old public market and learn to cook cactus–just a few of the activities that will spice up your visit!

Experience an authentic hands-on harvest on the farm

Located in Sainte-Madeleine, the Fille du Roy farm invites you to share in the joy of a U-Pick farm in a fairytale setting. Around late August and until the end of September, visitors can harvest artichokes, ground cherries and gourds such as squash and pumpkins. After a harvesting session as a family, relax in the picnic area or lose yourself in the themed maze at the heart of the corn fields. Lastly, to add a gourmet touch to this jam-packed day, don’t miss the boutique selling transformed products as well as delicious pizzas cooked in a wood-burning oven, available on weekends in the fall, weather permitting.
