Learn about firefighting
On May 31 and June 1, 2025, the Grande Fête des pompiers de Laval, a festive and educational outdoor event, returns for another edition to teach the population about the work of firefighters! You'll be able to meet firefighters, learn about fire safety and take part in interactive activities, such as handling a fire extinguisher or walking through a smoke house. In addition to shows, entertainment and activities for everyone, a fire truck parade will take place on Saturday. The following day, the traditional Firefighters' Race, organized for the Fondation des pompiers du Québec in aid of burn victims, will bring this great family celebration to a close.
Go out to pick tulips
Tulips are iconic spring flowers that burst with their dazzling colours as soon as the first fine days of May arrive. You can take a dip in nature in a spectacular field, adorned with some 800,000 tulips of every colour, to pick your favourites. Not only will you have the pleasure of taking a bouquet of freshly picked flowers home, you’ll also get to reconnect with nature and take a deep breath of fresh air after the long winter months spent indoors.
Kick back at a beer festival
From July 11 to 13, 2025, the Centre de la nature becomes the place to be for epicureans in search of new discoveries. Now in its 9th year, the Festival des bières de Laval features no fewer than 85 exhibitors, including 40 craft microbreweries from across Quebec. The event also features ciders, spirits and other local products, all in a festive, convivial atmosphere enhanced with live music and comedy. For the little ones, there's a family zone with inflatable games and face-painting, so they can have fun while the grown-ups enjoy their beer!
