The 47th Winterlude promises to be more magical than ever! From January 31 to February 17, 2025, you’re invited to experience the best of winter during a magical event that brings together more than 600,000 visitors each year. Celebrate this enchanting season with winter activities, shows, exhibitions, interactive urban art installations, performances by street artists and more. 

And did you know that a horse race on the Rideau Canal Skateway kicked off the very first Winterlude in 1979? To this day, the event offers a thrilling winter getaway where fun knows no limits! Here’s a sneak peek of what awaits you at this can’t-miss winter event!

The Snowflake Kingdom, a family favourite!

Winterlude comes to life at the Snowflake Kingdom with fun activities and magical scenery in the northern part of Jacques-Cartier Park in Gatineau. The kingdom is the largest winter playground in North America, combining tubing, snow mazes, majestic sculptures and more. Say hello to the friendly iconic mascots, the Ice Hogs, who love to meet families! And don’t forget tasting delicious beaver tails, a time-honoured tradition in the region. There’s no shortage of choices to have fun — and it’s free!

Igloofest, the ultimate event for music and dance lovers

To wrap up Winterlude in style, experience Igloofest in Gatineau for the very first time! From February 13 to 15, 2025, the Place des Festivals Zibi is transformed into the epicentre of electronic music. This legendary festival, which already heats up Montréal and Québec City, features performances by local and international DJs and a unique outdoor atmosphere. It’s an experience you won’t want to miss to turn winter into a real party! Gatineau awaits you for this unrivalled celebration!
