Sentier des cimes Laurentides
A nature trail to discover
The Sentier des cimes, over a kilometre long, takes hikers of all ages along a safe and accessible wooden walkway through the treetops. Along the way, educational and interactive panels provide information about the local flora and fauna. The highlight of the trail is the 40-metre-tall panoramic tower, offering spectacular views of the rolling Laurentian landscape. Adventurous visitors can even cross the giant net stretched over the middle of the tower.
Là-Haut, an amazing circus show
Là-Haut (translated as “Up high”) is a circus ballet in which four acrobats deliver a masterful performance, using aerial silk, slack wire and aerial net, that is certainly among the most astonishing circus shows in Quebec. The tower’s infrastructure, with its circular design, gives spectators a unique, vertiginous view of the acrobats performing their spectacular feats inside the empty space. For an even more magical experience, you can choose one of the evening performances, which take place just before sunset and also allow you to appreciate the full beauty of the landscape bathed in soft golden light. This high-flying aerial show runs until September.
Stop by the Chez Émile restaurant and the old fish farm
Located on the first floor of a magnificent heritage building, Chez Émile offers a seasonal menu that showcases fresh, healthy, local ingredients. The outdoor patio is the ideal place to enjoy a well-deserved break after climbing the panoramic tower! Before you leave, don’t forget to take a stroll around the enchanting site of the old fish farm (Ancienne-Pisciculture), which is an important historical landmark in the region. It features a museum area, landscaped gardens and magnificent, almost century-old ponds. There are also playground structures for kids who still have energy to burn!
