Journey into the world of Joseph-Armand Bombardier

The permanent exhibit All About Passion will whisk you away on a fascinating journey that presents the life, work and heritage of the celebrated Québécois inventor. Start out in Joseph-Armand Bombardier’s first-ever garage with a theatre of one-of-a-kind objects. The experience continues with a multimedia show created by Moment Factory that retraces the beginnings of the legendary Ski-Doo® snowmobile all the way to the conquest of the sky. Next, you can explore the technological evolution of the Ski-Doo® across eight symbolic models, create your own concept vehicle in the Idea Lab, pilot a flight simulator over Montréal, and even discover the story behind the Montréal metro’s melody.

From manufacturing history to visual arts

Until March 23, the temporary exhibit Along the Line – Workers’ Memories offers you a last chance to learn about the evolution of the assembly line over four eras, from the original mechanical garage to today’s interconnected factories. Testimonials from former employees enrich this dive into manufacturing history. In tandem, the Yvonne L. Bombardier Cultural Centre, located just across from the Museum, is currently displaying visual arts exhibits highlighting three artists whose works look at introspective journeys, personal narratives and the intimate. A must-see!
